PG Tidal Waves
PG Tidal Waves — Adaptive Swim Team
Our exclusive adaptive swim team — competitive swimming adapted to each athlete

The Tidal Waves give swimmers with disabilities a true team experience. One of our adaptive specialists partners with our swim coaches during regular swim team practice times, so every athlete gets the support they need to grow, compete, and belong. Two participation options let families choose the best fit:

Full Participation

Swim with a Tsunami or Blue Crush practice group with an adaptive specialist assisting. Get the full team experience, social connection, and training alongside teammates.

Dedicated Lane

Practice in a smaller setting in your own lane with an adaptive specialist and a swim coach, with some social time built in at your own pace.

All adaptive programming — including the Tidal Waves swim team — starts with a consultation with Emma Bybee, our Adaptive Aquatic Supervisor. Complete the intake form below to get started.

Emma Bybee

5 years experience

Hey everyone! My name is Emma Bybee. I am the Adaptive Aquatics Coordinator at PGVM pool, and first and foremost I love to be in the water teaching lessons. My love for aquatics began as a kid at West Jordan Outdoor Pool where I swam almost every day. I later worked there as a lifeguard, supervisor, and swim instructor for five years. This is my second year coordnating adaptive aquatics programs at PGVMP. When I’m not swimming, you can find me camping, hiking, and reading. I believe people of all abilities and skill levels are able to learn to swim. My goal is to help each swimmer be as independent as possible in the water. My priority is safety, independence, and having fun. I meet each swimmer where they are at. Certifications: Certified in Angelfish Swim Whisperers Level 1 WSI certified CPR/ First Aid Certified
