2026 Late-Season Activity Guide & Operational Transition Report
582 East 300 South, Pleasant Grove, UT
Mid-season adjustments and the transition to late-season operations
As the 2026 outdoor aquatics season passes its midpoint, the Pleasant Grove Veterans Memorial Outdoor Pool transitions from peak-summer operations to a late-season model that culminates on Labor Day, Monday, September 7, 2026. This guide provides schedules, pricing, and transition timelines for the second half of the season.
Peak-season programs conclude their weekday operations in early August, driven by the post-August 19 return of local schools — which impacts both student labor availability and public attendance. To maintain operational efficiency, the aquatics department implements structural changes to daily open hours, morning programs, and swim lessons from mid-August through the final closure on Labor Day.

Developmental & competitive tracks · Both conclude Aug 6, 2026
Pleasant Grove City sponsors two team tracks to help young swimmers transition from stroke development to competitive training. All placements require pre-season evaluations (held May 22 & 23, 2026), so late-season registration is restricted to athletes who completed those tryouts.
Recreation Swim Team
Led by Head Coach Melissa Francis. A training-heavy program in a low-pressure environment — stroke mechanics, build-ups, and team camaraderie without regional travel for dual meets.
Competition Swim Team
Under Head Coach Lisa Harris. For advanced swimmers seeking a faster-paced competitive environment — speed, cardiovascular endurance, and racing strategy for high school and regional competition.

Hygiene, residency, and lesson adjustment policies
To maintain hygiene standards and protect against recreational water illnesses, all children under age three, and anyone not fully toilet-trained, must wear a double diaper: an approved disposable or reusable swim diaper worn underneath a snug-fitting, waterproof plastic or polyurethane cover. Diaper changes are prohibited on the pool deck or grass and must be completed in the designated locker rooms. Approved swim diapers and covers are available for purchase at the front desk.
Discounted membership rates are reserved exclusively for Pleasant Grove residents, who must present proof of residency (e.g., a current utility bill) at purchase. Seasonal family passes are non-transferable and limited to immediate family members in the same household. Extended family, guests, and household employees (nannies, babysitters) are excluded and must purchase individual admission. Digital photos of each family member are linked to the account, and cards must be scanned at every entry. A $5 administrative fee applies to replace a lost pass card or make account changes.
